People Driven Credit Union's scholarship program was established to enhance the educational opportunities and advancement of our member-owners.
Each year People Driven Credit Union conducts a Scholarship Essay Contest.
College scholarships of $1,000 to $2,000 are awarded. Through 2016, $283,500 in scholarships have been awarded to our members.
To be eligible for the College Scholarship Essay Contest, members must be 17 to 25 years old and the primary owner* of a PDCU account with at least a $5 balance. Winners must be enrolled in an accredited college, university or community college to receive their prize.
PDCU also offers a Scholarship Contest for high school students.
5 winners will receive a $500 certificate of deposit that will mature around their expected graduation date.
Winners for both contests are selected based on the submission of an essay about a topic determined each year.
The contest opens in March with the essay topic and instructions about how to apply and submit the essay available here on our website. Winners are usually announced in July.
Official family members and employees of PDCU and their immediate families are not eligible to participate in the scholarship program.
