What are the different credit score ranges used by MyPDCU Credit Score & Score Simulator, and how are they categorized?

MyPDCU Credit Score & Score Simulator uses five standard credit score ranges to help you quickly see where your credit stands and what it means for loan rates and credit offers.

You may be new to credit or have more serious issues with your credit history. However, loans are still possible. Unfortunately, they usually come at much higher interest rates.
  • Credit Score 780–850 — Excellent: Members in this range have healthy credit histories and are usually eligible for the lowest loan interest rates and the best credit card offers.
  • Credit Score 660–779 — Good: You have good credit with only a few minor issues. Additionally, you can still receive favorable rates on most loans and credit cards. Moreover, this range often positions you well for competitive lender offers.
  • Credit Score 600–659 — Fair: Credit is considered fair. You may not get the lowest rates, and some borrowing options may become limited.
  • Credit Score 500–599 — Unfavorable. You may be new to credit or have more serious issues with your credit history. However, loans are still possible. Unfortunately, they usually come at much higher interest rates.
  • Credit Score Below 500 — Deficient: Significant credit problems or a very limited history exist. Getting approved for new credit can be difficult.
