Free Payment Guard Insurance for PD Quick Cash Is Automatically Included with Every Loan

Losing a job unexpectedly is one of the most stressful financial events a person can face. Research shows that more than one-third of households could not cover expenses for more than a month after a job loss, even after tapping savings, borrowing money, or asking family for help. Nearly a quarter of Americans struggle to pay monthly bills even with a stable income. People Driven Credit Union built PD Quick Cash to help members bridge short-term financial gaps. Now every PD Quick Cash loan comes with an additional layer of protection built in at no extra cost.

What Is Payment Guard Insurance?

Payment Guard Insurance is a first-of-its-kind coverage that protects your PD Quick Cash loan balance in the event of a covered job loss. PDCU has partnered with QCash and TruStage to bring this coverage to every PD Quick Cash borrower automatically. You do not need to apply for it, pay for it, or remember to add it. It is included from the moment your loan is funded.

If you experience a covered job loss, Payment Guard provides a lump sum payment of $500 applied directly toward your outstanding loan balance. If your remaining balance is less than $500 at the time of the claim, you may still receive a payout to help offset the financial impact of unexpected unemployment.

How Payment Guard Insurance Works

Automatic insurance for pd quick cash

Payment Guard Insurance automatically covers all PD Quick Cash loans funded after September 1, 2024. There is no enrollment process and no additional cost. The moment your loan is funded, your coverage is active.

Certificate of Insurance

Once your PD Quick Cash loan is funded, you will receive a Certificate of Insurance detailing your Payment Guard coverage. Keep this document so you know exactly what your coverage includes and how to file a claim if you need to.

Filing a Claim

If you experience a covered job loss, you can file a claim directly through TruStage’s online claims portal, which is available around the clock. The process is designed to be straightforward so you can focus on your recovery rather than paperwork.

How the Payout Works

Once your claim is approved, TruStage sends a lump sum of $500 directly to People Driven Credit Union to be applied to your outstanding PD Quick Cash loan balance. If there are excess funds beyond your remaining balance, those are credited to your account to help with additional financial hardship.

Why This Matters for People Driven Credit Union Members

A short-term loan is most valuable when you know you can manage it without added risk. Payment Guard removes a significant source of anxiety for borrowers who are already dealing with a financial crunch. If the unexpected happens and you lose your job while repaying a PD Quick Cash loan, you have a safety net in place that helps protect both your loan and your credit standing.
