PDCU Membership Eligibility

Who Can Join People Driven Credit Union?

Membership at People Driven Credit Union is open to a wide range of individuals and groups, including:

• All Michigan residents.

• Anyone who lives, works, attends school, or worships anywhere in the State of Michigan.

• Employees or pensioners of U.S. federal government agencies who either live or work in Michigan or report to a federal agency headquartered in the state.

• State, county, or local government employees or retirees or those employed by political subdivisions based in Wayne, Oakland, or Macomb Counties.

In addition, eligibility extends to many individuals affiliated with major automotive and manufacturing employers:

• Current or retired employees of Ford Motor Company or Visteon Corporation working in Rawsonville or Wixom, MI.

• Members of the Red Carpet Club, a retirees’ association within Washtenaw, Oakland, Macomb, Monroe, or Wayne Counties.

• Employees of Tower Automotive based in Plymouth, MI, and retirees from the Ford Utica Trim Plant.

Furthermore, membership includes those who worked at the following locations or companies in Michigan:
Ford Motor Company, Visteon Corporation, Automotive Components Holdings, L.L.C., Faurecia, retirees Ford New Holland, Ford Romeo Engine Plant, Oakman Industrial Engine Plant, Johnson Controls Inc., Hoover Automotive Systems Group (Utica), Auto Alliance International, Inc., Mazda North America, Mazda Research & Development of North America, Mazda System Services, Mount Clemens Coating, Inc., and Tower Automotive (Plymouth).

• People Driven Credit Union employees are also eligible for membership.

• So are members from previous mergers, including:

  • Sinai Health Services Credit Union (1992)

  • M.E.S. Credit Union (2004)

  • Peoples Trust and Community Driven Credit Unions (2014)

  • Community Alliance Credit Union (2023)

We also welcome:

• Immediate family members of any eligible or current member

• Spouses of deceased members (if they joined prior to remarriage)

• Legal entities primarily made up of eligible groups

• Retirees—those over 55 (or younger, if on disability retirement) who receive a pension, annuity, Social Security, or other retirement benefits and reside in or belong to a retirement organization in Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, St. Clair, Lapeer, Genesee, Livingston, or Washtenaw Counties
