The fastest and easiest way is through online banking. Follow these simple steps:

Place a Stop Payment Online (Recommended)

  1. Log in to online banking.
  2. Open the Message Center in your checking account.
  3. Click on “Stop Payment”.
  4. Complete the online form with all check details and click Submit.

Place a Stop Payment by Mail or Phone

  1. Download the Stop Payment form.

  3. Complete the form and return it by mail, fax, or in person at any branch.

Important Information

A stop payment order is valid for 6 months. There is a $30 fee for each stop payment request. We cannot guarantee a stop payment if the check has already cleared.
