Mobile App Login Security Enhancement

Security Enhancement FAQ
Upcoming Mobile App Login Security Enhancement update for Digital Banking
In an upcoming Mobile App Login Security Enhancement update, the Digital Banking mobile app will stop using a separate in-app passcode and instead rely on your device’s security.
What is changing
1
No more separate in-app passcode
The app will no longer use a separate 4-digit passcode.
2
Uses your device security
Face ID, fingerprint, or your phone passcode will be used to unlock the app.
3
This is not OTP
This change does not remove one-time passcodes. You may still receive OTP when needed.
4
Mobile only
This impacts Digital Banking mobile app users. Desktop and browser access are not impacted.
Why are we making this change?
Modern smartphones and tablets include advanced, built-in security. Using device-level authentication improves overall security, reduces the need for multiple passcodes, and supports future enhancements.
Will I still receive security codes after this update?
Yes. The credit union uses two-factor authentication, so you may still receive a verification code by text, call, or email when needed.
How can I avoid being kicked out of the app when I receive the security code?
If the code is delivered to your email on an iPhone, turn on Mail notifications so the code appears on your screen without fully opening the Mail app. Then you can view the code and enter it without leaving the app.
How does two-factor authentication protect my account?
Two-factor authentication adds a second step beyond your password. Even if someone gets your password, they still need the verification code to access your account.
What should I do if someone asks me for my login, passcode, or verification code?
Do not share it. People Driven Credit Union will never request your online banking credentials or one-time verification codes.
If you think something is suspicious, contact the credit union right away.
Where can I read your Mobile and Online Banking Privacy Policy?
Your Mobile and Online Banking Privacy Policy is posted on the website. It explains how information is collected, used, and protected, and it notes that updates may be communicated through email or a prominent notice on the service.
Tip: If you are viewing this in an email client that does not support accordions, the questions may appear expanded.
