I’m just calling to offer my observation of Ms. Destinee. Destinee helped me get a car loan within the last month. She was extremely professional and very pleasant to deal with. I had written myself a note to call you and of course, didn’t, but I came across the piece of paper, and I just wanted to offer you that. I really appreciate her kindness and willingness to help.

Construction loans can be complicated, expensive, and unpredictable. They often involve staged funding, contractor coordination, inspections, budget changes, and a lot more stress than people expect. Instead, People Driven Credit Union focuses on options that are often easier to manage, like traditional mortgages for home purchases and home equity solutions for improvements to a home you already own.

People Driven Credit Union does not offer construction loans.

People Driven Credit Union membership is available to a diverse range of individuals and organizations, including:

- All Michigan residents
- Individuals who live, work, attend school, or worship anywhere in Michigan
- Employees or retirees of U.S. federal government agencies who reside, work, or report to an agency headquartered in Michigan
- State, county, or local government employees or retirees, including those working for political subdivisions based in Wayne, Oakland, or Macomb counties

Affiliated Employers & Organizations

Membership also extends to current and former employees associated with major automotive and manufacturing employers, such as:

- Ford Motor Company and Visteon Corporation employees or retirees working in Rawsonville or Wixom, MI
- Members of the Red Carpet Club, a retirees’ association within Washtenaw, Oakland, Macomb, Monroe, or Wayne counties
- Tower Automotive employees in Plymouth, MI, and retirees from the Ford Utica Trim Plant

Additionally, membership includes those previously employed at these Michigan companies and locations:

- Ford Motor Company
- Visteon Corporation
- Automotive Components Holdings, L.L.C.
- Faurecia
- Ford New Holland (retirees)

A Membership Share Savings Account is required to establish membership at People Driven Credit Union. A $5 deposit secures your ownership share in the credit union and unlocks access to our full suite of products and services. This account earns 0.01% APY with a $5 minimum deposit.

APY

APY stands for Annual Percentage Yield. It is a measure of the total amount of interest earned on an account based on the interest rate and the frequency of compounding over a year. APY is a useful metric for comparing the annual earnings on different savings products, such as savings accounts, CDs, and money market accounts, because it standardizes the effect of compounding.

Includes Compounding: APY accounts for how often interest is compounded (e.g., daily, monthly, quarterly), which can significantly affect the total interest earned over time.
Comparison Tool: APY provides a standard way to compare the annual interest earnings of different savings products, regardless of how frequently interest is compounded.
Formula: The formula for calculating APY is:

where r is the nominal interest rate (expressed as a decimal), and n is the number of compounding periods per year.
Higher APY: A higher APY indicates that you will earn more interest on your money over a year, assuming the same principal amount.

Example

For example, if a savings account offers an interest rate of 5% compounded monthly, the APY would be higher than 5% due to the effect of monthly compounding. This makes APY a useful metric for comparing the real return on different financial products.
