Savings Account Rates

Rates are effective as of today and are subject to change.

People Driven Credit Union offers savings options for every stage. Start with a Member Share Savings Account for just $5, or set money aside in an Escrow Savings Account for scheduled expenses. Lock in a fixed return with Certificates of Deposit from 6 months to 5 years, including Jumbo tiers, a Youth Certificate, and the Save to Win Certificate where deposits earn cash prize entries. Move new money from outside the credit union into our High-Yield Money Market or tiered Money Market Plus Account. IRA savers can choose from Money Market and Variable Rates accounts for Traditional, Roth, and Educational needs. All deposits are federally insured by the NCUA up to $250,000. Savings Rates Disclosures:

²APY=Annual Percentage Yield. APY is based on the assumption that interest will remain in the account until maturity. Withdrawals and fees may reduce savings rates / earnings. It may be discontinued or changed at any time. Early Withdrawal Penalty for fixed term certificates (CDs) and IRAs: Loss of 30 days interest for CDs with a term of 6 months or less. Loss of 90 days interest for CDs with a term greater than six months or equal to 12 months. Loss of 180 days interest for CDs with a term greater than 12 months.

The minimum to open six month CD is $500, maximum is $250,000. The minimum to open a Jumbo CD is $25,000. APY is based on the assumption that interest will remain in the account until maturity. Withdrawals and fees may reduce earnings. It may be discontinued or changed at any time.

Membership Requirement

All accounts and loans require membership at People Driven Credit Union. Membership is available to individuals who live, work, worship, or attend school in the State of Michigan, as well as relatives of current members. To complete an application for any account or loan, you will need the following information:
  • A valid Driver's License, State ID, or Passport with your current address
  • Your Social Security Number
A Membership Share Savings Account is required to establish membership at People Driven Credit Union. A $5 deposit secures your ownership share in the credit union and unlocks access to our full suite of products and services. This account earns 0.01% APY with a $5 minimum deposit.
