Who Will Feed the Kids This Weekend? Food Drive from November 1-30, 2024

We believe in community support at People Driven Credit Union (PDCU), especially when fighting hunger. We’re excited to participate in the Blessings in a Backpack Who Will Feed the Kids This Weekend? Food Drive from November 1-30, 2024. Because hunger doesn’t take a break on the weekends, we do our part to help ensure children in need have access to nutritious meals when school meals are unavailable.

What We’re Collecting:

We are accepting donations of the following items to help stock backpacks with weekend meals:

  • Noodles and sauce
  • Canned foods (vegetables, fruit, etc.)
  • Canned spaghetti
  • Beef or cheese ravioli
  • Mac & cheese
  • Canned soups

Where to Drop Off:

You can drop off your food donations at any of our five PDCU branch locations:

If you’re unable to make it in person, feel free to ship your donations to:

People Driven Credit Union
5397 W Michigan Ave.
Ypsilanti, MI 48197

Make Donating Easier with Our Amazon Wish List!

To make supporting the Blessings in a Backpack Food Drive even easier, we’ve created PDCU’s Blessings in a Backpack Wish List on Amazon. With just a few clicks, you can see exactly which items are needed, purchase them, and have them shipped directly to our Ypsilanti branch for collection. From there, we’ll ensure they are delivered to Blessings in a Backpack to be distributed to children in need across Michigan.

PDCU’s Blessings In A Backpack Wish List

This is a convenient way to participate and make a direct impact without dropping off items in person. Every item helps fill a backpack, providing a weekend’s worth of nutritious food for a needy child.

Our Goal:

We’ve been challenged to collect 500 cans to help Blessings in a Backpack reach its goal of providing nutritious meals to children in need over the weekends. Every item you donate brings us closer to that goal!

Learn More:

Join us this November and help us make a difference in the lives of local children. Together, we can ensure that no child goes hungry over the weekend! Thank you for your generosity and support in fighting hunger!
