2023: Highlights of our Year

As 2023 comes to a close, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on the incredible year we’ve had.

From community activities to branch events to helping support many charities, businesses, and organizations, here are just a few highlights from 2023!

As 2023 winds down, we’re pausing to celebrate the moments, big and small, that made this year so memorable for People Driven Credit Union. Together, we strengthened our community ties, expanded our services, and deepened our commitment to financial well‑being. Below are a few standout achievements we’re especially proud of.

First, our Community Give-Back Program topped the charts, donating over $150,000 to local nonprofits, food banks, and youth mentorship initiatives. Staff volunteers logged over 2,000 hours at neighborhood clean‑ups and financial‑literacy workshops, proving that when we say, “People Driven,” we mean it.

Inside our branches, you may have noticed fresh faces and fresh spaces. We opened two new locations in Livonia and Ypsilanti, added Saturday lobby hours, and introduced a digital queuing system that cut wait times in half. Meanwhile, our High‑Yield Savings Account launch helped members earn an extra $1.2 million in interest collectively money that stayed right here in Michigan.

We also rolled out Early Pay and CashBack+, giving members faster access to their paychecks and extra rewards on everyday purchases. For our small‑business community, we streamlined loan approvals, enabling local entrepreneurs to tap into more than $10 million in growth capital.

And let’s not forget the fun. From sponsoring the Romeo Peach Festival parade to hosting shred‑it days, toy drives, and our first‑ever “PDCU Day of Service,” we shared countless laughs (and a few ice‑cream cones) along the way.
