A Message to Our Members: Cybersecurity Awareness Month

As October’s Cybersecurity Awareness Month comes to a close, I would like to take a moment to share a reflection with you, our valued members. At People Driven Credit Union, we believe that protecting your financial well-being goes far beyond offering accounts, loans, and services. It also means protecting your personal information and your peace of mind.

Strong security starts with small habits—like using fingerprint ID, multi-factor authentication, and strong passwords to keep your accounts protected.

This month has been a powerful reminder that cybersecurity is not just an IT concern, it’s something that touches each of us. Fraud attempts, phishing emails, and scams are becoming more sophisticated every day, and staying safe requires awareness and caution. That’s why we dedicate time to education, not only for our employees but also for you, our members.

One of the most important lessons we emphasize is that small steps can make a big difference. Whether it’s using strong, unique passwords, enabling multifactor authentication, or pausing before clicking on a suspicious link, these actions help build a safer financial world for all of us.

As your credit union, we continuously invest in technology, monitoring, and training to guard against threats. But the most powerful defense will always be people (members and staff alike) making smart, informed choices. Together, we form a community of vigilance and trust.

Cybersecurity Awareness Month may be ending, but our commitment to protecting you never does. Thank you for trusting us with your financial journey. We’ll continue to provide resources, tips, and guidance to keep you safe, because at People Driven, protecting your future is at the heart of what we do.

Stay safe, stay aware, and remember, we’re always here to help.

Stay vigilant. Protect your financial future.

People Driven Credit Union is committed to helping our members recognize and avoid scams. Learn how to safeguard your identity and report fraud before it causes lasting damage.
