2025 Back-to-School Loan Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility for this loan requires that the member be in good standing and have a minimum of $1,000 in direct deposits posted to their People Driven Credit Union account each month for the six consecutive months immediately preceding the application. Meeting this minimum deposit requirement does not guarantee loan approval or a specific loan amount. The amount for which a member may qualify will be determined at the time of application through automated evaluation of their account history, with loan amounts ranging from $500 up to a maximum of $2,000.
Members who previously received our PD Quick Cash loan specials are also eligible for this Back-to-School loan promotion, provided they are in good standing at the time of application.
All loans are subject to approval, terms, and conditions as established by People Driven Credit Union.
How to Apply
Apply online through our Back-to-School Loan webpage, or apply within the MyPDCU app. Online and app applications receive a decision within minutes, and if approved, funds are deposited directly into your account—often within 60 seconds.

Membership Requirement
All accounts and loans require membership at People Driven Credit Union. Membership is available to individuals who live, work, worship, or attend school in the State of Michigan, as well as relatives of current members.
To complete an application for any account or loan, you will need the following information:
A valid Driver's License, State ID, or Passport with your current address
Your Social Security Number
A Membership Share Savings Account is required to establish membership at People Driven Credit Union. A $5 deposit secures your ownership share in the credit union and unlocks access to our full suite of products and services. This account earns 0.01% APY with a $5 minimum deposit.

Applicants must have a qualifying direct deposit of $1,000 or more for at least six months. No credit check is performed for this loan option. Approval and funding times vary and are subject to account verification, application volume, and other eligibility requirements.

The PD Quick Cash Back-to-School Loan is available only to members in good standing with a qualifying direct deposit of at least $1,000/month for six consecutive months. $15 processing fee applies. No credit check is performed for this loan option. “Same-day approval,” “under 60 seconds,” and “funds promptly” refer to average processing times for eligible members during regular business hours. Approval is not guaranteed and is subject to membership, account history, and underwriting criteria.
