Coin-counting machines being discontinued at PDCU branches

People Driven Credit Union is making a change to the coin-counting services available at our branches.

Beginning November 1, 2026, coin-counting machines will no longer be available at People Driven Credit Union branches. The machines are being removed and will not be replaced.

We know some members have regularly used our coin-counting machines, so we want to give you advance notice and explain what options will continue to be available.

Why are the coin-counting machines being removed?

After one of our coin-counting machines recently experienced a mechanical failure, we took the opportunity to review the coin-counting services available across our branches.

Following that review, we made the decision to discontinue the coin-counting machines at all People Driven Credit Union locations.

The remaining machines will be removed on November 1, 2026.

Can I still deposit coins at PDCU?

Yes. People Driven Credit Union branches will continue to accept rolled coin for deposit.

If you have coins you would like to deposit, please sort and roll them before bringing them to a branch. If you have questions about depositing rolled coin, our team can explain the process and help you prepare for your visit.

Will the coin-counting machines be replaced?

No. People Driven Credit Union has made the decision to discontinue its coin-counting machines, and the machines will not be replaced.

We understand this may be an inconvenience for members who have used the machines in the past. Our branch teams will continue to accept rolled coin and are available to answer questions about the deposit process.

When does this change take effect?

The coin-counting machines will be removed on November 1, 2026.

Availability may vary by location before that date if an individual coin-counting machine is already out of service.

Questions about depositing rolled coin?

If you have questions about preparing or depositing rolled coin, contact your local People Driven Credit Union branch before your visit. Our team will be happy to explain the process.
